How WAVDROP is organized

Clients, projects, songs, versions, links and notes, and how they fit together.

WAVDROP is built on a handful of ideas. Once they click, the rest is obvious.

Clients#

The people you make music for: an artist, a band, a label. Every project belongs to one client. You can give a client a photo and contact emails.

Projects#

One batch of work for a client: a single, an EP, an album. A project has its own cover art, its own settings, and one share link that opens every song in it.

Songs#

One track in a project. Songs keep the order you give them, and your client sees the same order.

Versions#

Every new mix of a song is a version. Versions stack under their song instead of piling up as separate tracks. The main version is the one that plays first. Your client can still pick an older one. See Versions.

How your client gets in. Send the whole project, or copy a link to a single song. You decide whether a link needs a password, only opens for certain emails, expires, or allows downloads. See Share links.

Notes#

Comments your client leaves while listening, each pinned to the second it's about. You can reply, mark a note done, or export a round of notes as markers for your DAW. See Notes and replies.

Your workspace#

Everything above lives in your workspace. One account has one workspace, and your plan sets its storage and limits. See Plans and storage.
