A/B Compare
Compare two versions in sync, at matched loudness, blind if you like.
Pick the better mix with your ears, not your eyes. A/B Compare plays two versions of a song in sync, at matched loudness, and can hide which one is which.
Why it helps#
The louder mix always sounds better for a second, and a name like "v4 final" tells you which one you're meant to like. A/B Compare takes both out of the picture.
Open it#
Open a song's menu and choose A/B Compare. It shows up on songs that have at least two versions you can compare.
- Pick a version for each side.
- Press play. Both versions run from the same second.
- Switch between them as often as you like. You never lose your place.
Matched loudness#
Both versions play at the same level, so neither one wins just by being louder.
Blind mode#
Turn on Shuffle to hide the names and mix up the order. Listen, choose I prefer this one (or No preference), then Reveal to see which version you picked.
